Supporting Others
I grew up on an eighty-acre farm in Ojai, California, where we grew oranges and avocados. I attended public and private schools, among them Live Oak Elementary School and Happy Valley School in Ojai, and The Brockwood Park School in England.
These schools were inspired by the work of J. Krishnamurti (“The Awakening of Intelligence” and “Freedom From The Known”) and Aldous Huxley (“Brave New World” and “The Doors of Perception”) which had a big influence on my early thought and growth, opening me up at an early age to inquiry, questioning received social wisdom and challenging my own beliefs and assumptions.
When I was 23 I started my first company, landscaping and gardening, in Ojai. By the time I was 30, and living in Los Angeles, I had started my second company, providing computer supplies to corporate and government data centers around the country. A few years later I started a real estate investment company.
I studied art and music at the California Institute of the Arts, in Los Angeles, specializing in Saxophone Performance. While at CalArts I won the honor of recording my compositions at the world-famous Capitol Records Studio in Hollywood, which came out on the CalArts record label.
Then, even as these businesses succeeded, I became disillusioned, and began to search for greater purpose and a deeper experience of life. I didn’t just want to succeed, I wanted to live fully and passionately, and to contribute.
This started many years of searching, reading, practicing, going to workshops, and working with teachers. I travelled around the world, met and studied with some of the world’s leading edge thinkers, doers and spiritual practitioners, coaches and consultants. I studied and learned.

This culminated in starting my consulting and executive coaching practice, Unleash Your Spirit, in 2003. I began working with clients, and discovered I had a gift for working with people, and was making a big difference right away.
This was something of a surprise to me, since I had so much self-doubt in the time leading up to launching. I experienced a new flow of energy in my life.
My clients made more money, became better leaders, improved their health, had more satisfaction in relationships with the people who were most important to them, slept better, started companies and major projects, got married, cooperated powerfully and creatively with their spouses and work teams and experienced greater serenity and being of service to the people in their lives.
I started to feel the wind at my back. I had discovered my purpose. It was as if I had left the shallow eddies at the edge of the river and moved into the deeper waters, where the energy we all want is flowing, and where we are usually too scared to go. This is the most important part of the journey.
My work is for people who want to live fully and joyfully, creating and giving - to themselves, others and the world - what they most want to give. In the process, they accomplish what they want to make happen, become who they want to be, and contribute in deep and meaningful ways.

My true purpose, and my gift, is supporting, challenging, guiding and loving people through to the fulfillment of their desires, dreams and goals, to their own spirit, true self and the future they want to create, live in and share.
